Over the weekend SomeGuy and I tested out the multiplayer freeflight now that the servers are more stable. Specifically we focused on testing out the multicrew ships. We messed around with the features and played around with ideas. All in all, a good time was had by all.

But one moment stood out above the rest. While I was standing in the back of my Cutlass SomeGuy decided to steal the ship. As it turns out CIG has not yet worked on the collisions for a player not seated in a ship and I was flung out of the arena at ridiculous speed. Then the best possible message appeared on my screen: Press X to remote self-destruct. The ensuing fireworks coupled with SomeGuys panic was truly entertaining.

I could log in but couldn't holda stable connection. I tried a local server to check if it was a firewall problem but I could connect to them without problems. My problem is only with the EJ channel specifically.

I haven't flown in the ghost yet but I did notice that when flying the tracker I kept better track of my targets during dogfights. Also seemed to detect them earlier. They've definitely added an early iteration of its tracking capabilities.

I would offer to lend you one of my alpha access packages but CIG recently changed the gift system. You can't gift a package that you received as a gift. That little detail alone is causing quite a headache for me and SomeGuy. I lent him my LTI super hornet for the tournament not knowing of the new rule and now we're waiting on customer support for the ability to send it back. If it wasn't for the LTI on that particular package I'd just have bought a new one and let him keep the old one.

So maybe ask around for someone with more than one alpha access package. Buy the same package (it just won't have alpha but still everything else) and trade between the two of you. You'll gain alpha access and the other person will still have the same ships and extras as they had before.

This topic has been brought up in the past but ultimately we decided not to flesh out the details until all of the small, medium and large ships are flyable (not including cap ships) and private lobbies are fully functional. Once those two things are going schedules would be worked out for training and squadrons chosen. So till such time we should not consider any decisions on this subject as final but do feel free to make suggestions and discuss ideas.

As always EJ understands that not everyone can be online all the time and those that cannot join org training/missions regularly will not be punished for it. That being said, we greatly appreciate those that regualrly participate both in game and on the forums/teamspeak. I myself have missed a lot of org time due to work but will be more active in the coming weeks.

P.S. I'd also go for a fleet structure.
